Elite Plethysmograph
The MedGraphics Elite Body Plethysmograph
provides fast, easy testing of all patients, from pediatric through
adult. When combined with BreezeSuite software, the
Elite becomes a powerful diagnostic tool for the clinician
while simplifying testing and increasing productivity for
the technician and lab.
The Elite expands diagnostic capabilities by measuring thoracic
gas volume (TGV), providing the most accurate measure of lung
volumes. Airway resistance by plethysmography also increase
sensitivity in identifying lung diseases and is ideal for assessing
airway obstruction reversibility.
As with all MedGraphics systems, the Elite utilizes
the patented preVent™
pneumotach. This lightweight, accurate flow device meets
or exceeds all ATS/ERS standards and helps protect against cross
contamination. Its snap-in, snap-out design makes it easy
to install and remove. Changing the preVent before each
patient provides the most dependable and cost-effective infection
control available, eliminating the need for bacterial filters.
The preVent can be used either as a disposable or a reusable component,
with or without a filter.
The Elite Series offers a unique "zero-clearance"
door. If space is limited in your lab, the Elite allows
you to position the system without having to worry about clearance
for the plethysmograph door. The door simply wraps around
the system, out of the way, providing the smallest possible footprint
available anywhere. Yet the Elite has plenty of room for
patients over 400 lbs (180 kgs).
The Elite Series is available in three models.
Depending on model, the Elite offers complete Spirometry, Diffusing
Capacity (DLco), Lung Volumes by Nitrogen Washout and/or Plethysmography,
and Airway Resistance.
